Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of backyourcountry.com (the "Service"), operated by Alvaro Marin Abril, Calle Federico Garcia Lorca 5, 02001 Albacete, Spain. By using the Service or making a contribution you agree to these Terms. These Terms may be updated as the Service grows.

1. The Service

The Service is an independent internet experiment: a public ranking of countries ordered by confirmed monetary contributions. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government, state body or international organization. Inclusion of a country in the ranking does not constitute political recognition (see the Country Policy).

2. Contributions

• Contributions are voluntary payments that purchase digital visibility and participation in the ranking, as described in the Rules.
• Contributions are not donations to any country or political cause, confer no ownership, equity, voting rights, or expectation of profit, and are not investments.
• Ranking positions, position duration, link clicks, traffic and any commercial outcome are expressly not guaranteed.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.
• You must be legally able to make the payment and comply with applicable law.

3. Sponsored links and content

• Optional websites and display names submitted with a contribution are subject to the Acceptable Use Policy and may be reviewed, withheld or removed at our discretion without altering the country's total.
• Sponsored links are placements by backers; we do not endorse linked sites.

4. Corrections and reversals

Rankings may be corrected after refunds, chargebacks, fraud or technical errors. See the Refund Policy.

5. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service. We may amend these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount of your contributions in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including mandatory consumer rights.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence.
